Indian Air Force Jet makes emergency landing

According to a police official, an Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft,carrying six individuals, had to make an “emergency” landing in a villagenear Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday due to a technical issue.

The pilot and the five crew members are reported to be safe, as per India’snews agency Press Trust of India (PTI).

The incident occurred around 8.45 am when the IAF’s III HU unit aircraftmade the emergency landing in a sugarcane field near a lake in Dungariyavillage, approximately 60 km from Bhopal’s district headquarters.

The aircraft was en route from Bhopal to Jhansi and encountered a technicalproblem. Currently, an IAF team is at the site to address the technicalissue, while another team of technicians is expected to arrive from Nagpurto assist in Dungariya village.
