Islamabad: Due to the adjustment of the dollar, citizens have been deprivedof significant relief on petrol.
According to details, the previous adjustment of the dollar has createdobstacles in providing further relief on petrol, which means that citizenswill not receive any significant relief on petrol.
The Petroleum Division has stated that due to the PSO exchange adjustmentof 11.92 rupees per liter, petrol could have been cheaper, reaching 19.92rupees instead of the current 8 rupees.
According to the Petroleum Division, from October 1st, the PSO exchangeadjustment has increased by an additional 1.24 rupees, and due to exchangeadjustments, petrol was made more expensive on September 16th as well.
The government has also increased the freight margin on petrol and diesel.The PSO exchange adjustment on petrol was zero on September 15th, and onSeptember 16th, it was applied at 10.68 rupees per liter.
