In the ICC Cricket World Cup, private jet traffic at Ahmedabad Airportincreased by 30% due to the match between Pakistan and India. According toIndian media, Ahmedabad has seen an increase in charter flights’ activitiesdue to the Pakistan-India match.
According to aviation sources, Ahmedabad Airport is expected to receive 650scheduled charter aircraft arrivals in the month of October. The firstmatch of the World Cup will be played between England and New Zealand onOctober 5th, while the Pakistan-India match is scheduled for October 14thin Ahmedabad.
Prominent politicians, business tycoons, showbiz, and sports personalitiesrelated to important cricket matches will be arriving in Ahmedabad, andmany of them will be arriving on chartered aircraft. According to sources,the Indian cricket board has also inquired about the availability ofcharter flights for the Pakistan-India match.
Demand for charter flights for business groups has surged one day beforethe match and one day after the match. According to reports in the Indianmedia, Bollywood stars are also making efforts to book and secure charterflights.
