ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Gwadar Port achieves a new milestone first time everin the history of the country as the first shipment of the transit tradearriving at the deep sea port, media report has revealed.
It was disclosed that the Gwadar port has been opened for transit trade andthe first shipment in this regard is due next Tuesday.
The sub-committee of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Maritime Affairs,in its meeting on Tuesday, reviewed in detail various issues pertaining toGwadar Port and its investors.
Convened by Senator Kauda Babar, the meeting was attended by Senator MoulaBux Chandio, Senator Muhammad Akram and senior officers of the Ministry ofMaritime Affairs, Ministry of Information Technology andTelecommunications, Gwadar Port Authority, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)and Pakistan telecommunication Limited (PTCL).
