ISLAMABAD: The export of raw cotton from the country during the first twomonths of current financial year witnessed an increase of 152.33 percent ascompared to the corresponding period last year.
During the period from July-August, 2019, about 5,337 metric tons of rawcotton valuing $8.229 million were exported as compared to the export of2,240 metric tons worth $3.289 million in same period of last year.
However, exports of cotton yarn decreased by 7.76 percent, as 81,897 metrictons of cotton yarn costing $206.757 million were exported in the last twomonths as against the exports of 80,262 metric tons valuing at $224.149million in same period of last year.
