Pakistan Maritime Security Agency saves stranded Iranian boat and nine citizens 240 miles from Gwadar

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Maritime Security Agency has rescued nine Iranianfishermen along with their boat WAHIDI, who were stranded in open sea from240 nautical miles from Gwadar.

Talking to Radio Pakistan Karachi correspondent Muhammad Waqas, a spokesmanof the agency said that PMSA ship KASHMIR took part in the rescue operation.

He said the rescue operation was carried out on information given byMaritime Rescue Coordination Center. He said the rescued fishermen werestranded since 12-days.

The spokesman said the fishermen were provided food, water and medicalassistance.

Crew and owner of the boat have applauded the efforts of Pakistan MaritimeSecurity Agency which proves to be another example of long lastingbrotherly relations of Islamabad and Tehran.
