ISLAMABAD – Federal cabinet reshuffle is on the cards with former FinanceMinister Asad Umar likely to be re inducted.According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan may be about to change theministries of eight to ten members of his cabinet. The premier might givethe Petroleum Ministry to Asad Umar.
The Minister’s whose portfolios might be changed include Minister forInterior Ijaz Shah, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry,Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Zubaida Jalal and Dr. Firdous AshiqAwan.
It is being speculated that Shafqat Mehmood might be given the Interiorportfolio while Zubaida Jalal may be given the Education Ministry. Sourceshave also revealed that though Dr. Babar Awan wanted to become a senator,he will be given the post of Advisor.
Dr. Firdous might be given the responsibilities previously resting withNadeem Afzal Chan.

On the other hand, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali MuhammadKhan might be removed from his post while Fawad Chaudhry may yet again gethis portfolio changed. Previously, Fawad Chaudhry held the InformationMinistry but was given the Science and Technology portfolio when Dr.Firdous Ashiq Awan was appointed as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister.
