ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Khurrum Nawaz Gandapur hasmade stunning revelations over the 2014 Islamabad sitin.
He unearthed ‘London plan’ behind 126-day long sit-in staged in Islamabadagainst rigging in General Polls 2013.
Gandapur stated that cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan—now theincumbent prime minister—had held meetings with Pervez Ilahi, ChaudhryShujaat Hussain and PAT chief Tahirul Qadri in London.
“A decision was made [in the same huddle] to launch a movement aimed attoppling [then] government of Nawaz Sharif. Such movements are part ofdemocracy”, Gandapur was quoted as saying.

“Following this meeting, Tahirul Qadri announced his return to Pakistan tolaunch a campaign against [Nawaz’s] government”, added Gandapur.
On the other hand, PML-N senator Mushahid Ullah Khan raised Gandapur’sstatement in the upper house of the parliament.
