Indian Air Force holds massive war exercise along borders with Pakistan

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively preparing for a significant trainingundertaking named ‘Trishul,’ scheduled to occur along the northern bordersof India, where it shares boundaries with China and Pakistan.

Scheduled to run from September 4 to 14, this exercise will notablycoincide with the G-20 Summit set to convene in New Delhi on September 9and 10.

The IAF has outlined its plans to conduct extensive drills across variouskey regions within the northern sector, encompassing areas such as Ladakh,Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Punjab. A prominentpresence of major fighter aircraft fleets, including the Rafale, Mirage2000, and Su-30MKIs, is expected during the training sessions.

Apart from deploying these versatile fighter jets, the comprehensiveexercise will incorporate the participation of heavy-lift transport planesand helicopters, including the notable Chinooks and Apaches. Complementingthese efforts, the elite Garud Special Forces unit within the IAF will alsoplay an integral role in the forthcoming drills
