ISLAMABAD – Pakistani team management comes to rescue Skipper Babar Azamover unsolicited advices.
Team management has come to the Babar Azam’s rescue, directing multipleformer captains and seniors in the T20I team to refrain from givingunsolicited advice to the relatively new captain.
The presence of a number of senior players in the side has led to confusionand it was evident in Pakistan’s loss to England in the 2nd T20I. Formercricketers, including Shoaib Akhtar and Younis Khan, have said that Babarneeds to make his own decisions instead of relying on seniors for advice.
“It can get difficult for a captain when he is receiving so much advice andalso suggestions on the field as well. Whether the suggestions are comingfrom off the field or from inside the field, it’s meant for the bettermentof the team”, Younis Khan who is also the batting coach, said after thematch.
My advice to Babar is that as a leader you should try and take your owndecisions; He should not be afraid of taking his decisions even if they areincorrect because you can always learn from those mistakes.

Babar Azam is a new captain and needs time to develop into a world-classleader, however, seniors and team management will have to play a positiverole instead of merely putting pressure on him.
