ISLAMABAD – Second review meeting of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Planfor Peace and Solidarity being held in Kabul.
Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood lead the Pakistan delegation comprisingsenior officials, while the Afghan side led by Deputy Foreign MinisterMirwais Nab.
Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity framework,established in 2018, comprises five Working Groups focused onPolitico-Diplomatic, Military to Military Coordination, IntelligenceCooperation, Economy, and Refugee Issues.
During the second meeting, all five Working Groups under the frameworkreview the implementation status of earlier discussions and decisions, witha view to take the process forward.
The mechanism is an important forum to address common challenges and deepenmutual trust and is pivotal in advancing the shared objectives of peace,stability, prosperity and development.
