ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has blasted outof frustration at the team management.

He lashes out at the team management for not selecting him.

He said, “Coach and captain responsible for selecting a team as they getwhat they demand, so they are making the team”.

Kamran Akmal last played for Pakistan in 2017 against the West Indies as aspecialist opening batsman for his performance in PSL 2016 but failed todeliver on his comeback.

Wicketkeeper also said, “I didn’t hear any statement from the selectorsyet, but statements come from them (Coach and Captain), as they recommendto selectors what they want”, he added.

Kamran Akmal threw all his frustration out and said, “should I hit myselfwith a bat or burn my kit? that’s what left for me I guess, or should I dosomething different to get PCB’s attention”.

Pakistan team head coach Mickey Arthur earlier stated that Kamran Akmal isnot a part of his plans as he is trying to build a team with young players.

“To be brutally honest I really don’t think Kamran fits into our plansgoing forward with a young team into the [upcoming] matches against theWest Indies. There’s no doubt in my mind about his abilities as a very finebatsman and his form has been awesome in this PSL. He’s one of those guyswho never say never and he played beautifully against Lahore and was trulyoutstanding, but then the same old question that comes to mind is wherewill Kamran field?
