LAHORE – Rana Sanaullah, one of the most vocal critic of the PTI governmentand a PMLN-N member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, has been arrested overhis alleged links with drug-peddlers and banned outfits.
Reports in local media said the president of Pakistan Muslim League-N’sPunjab chapter was picked up by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) fromMotorway near Sukheki while he was on his way to Lahore from Faisalabad.
The mobile phones of his security guards were confiscated before his arrest.
Sanaullah, 69, is accused of having contact with drug suppliers. These drugpeddlers were in contact with some banned terrorist outfits, according toANF-Lahore. He is also accused of funding some proscribed organisations.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) is a federal executive bureau of theGovernment of Pakistan, tasked with combating the narcotics smuggling anduse within Pakistan. ANF works under umbrella of Pakistan Army and Ministryof Narcotics Control.
