NEW DELHI – The Indian Supreme Court today dismissed a plea by a formerofficer of the Indian Spy Agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) to claimAzad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan territories.
A Bench led by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi rejected outright theplea by former RAW officer R.K. Yadav to carve out 24 Assemblyconstituencies from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan areas and conductelections there.
The court imposed a fine of 20,000 rupees on the petitioner.
