ISLAMABAD : Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism,martyred 33 Kashmiris including four young boys during the last month ofJune.

According to the data issued by Kashmir Media Service, of those martyred,three youth were killed in a fake encounter in Kupwara.

The killings rendered three women widowed and four children orphaned.During the period, 236 people were injured due to the use of brute forceincluding firing of bullets, pellets, PAVA and teargas shells by the Indianarmy, paramilitary and police personnel on peaceful protesters while 176persons including Hurriyet activists and students were arrested duringhouse raids and crackdown.

The Indian troops also damaged 22 residential houses during the month.

Last month the Indian military announced the resuming of militaryoperations against rebels in occupied Kashmir after a rare 30-daysuspension for Ramazan.

Army operations were halted on May 16 at the start of Ramazan, despite amonths-long escalation of violence in the Muslim-majority Himalayan region.
