ISLAMABAD – Former principal secretary (PS) to the prime minister (PM)Fawad Hassan Fawad was posted as Civil Services Academy (CSA) director assoon as the incumbent interim PM Justice (R) Nasirul Mulk took office.

Sohail Amir has been appointed as the new PS to the PM.

It is pertinent to note that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) haslaunched an inquiry into the alleged financial irregularities in theawarding of the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme contract to a bidder inviolation of the relevant laws.

“An inquiry has revealed that you are in possession of information andevidence regarding the cancellation of a contract in respect to theAshiana-e-Iqbal Project launched by Punjab Land Development Company(PLDC)”, said a notice issued by NAB to Fawad earlier.

NAB had summoned Fawad on June 1 but the former PS failed to appear beforeNAB authorities.
