ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called upon theinternational community to support the Afghan people in their journeytowards sustainable peace and development.
While addressing a high-level Ministerial Meeting on Supporting theHumanitarian Response in Afghanistan, held in a virtual format, the ForeignMinister underscored the importance of durable solutions including theprovision of livelihood opportunities and ensuring of access to basicnecessities such as food, health and education for the Afghan population.
He stressed that new humanitarian situations emerging in other parts of theworld should not move the focus away from the dire needs of millions ofAfghans.
