ECP announces deadline for accepting objections over delimitation

ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan has said process of acceptingobjections on delimitation from citizens throughout the country willcontinue upto 24th of this month.

According to the ECP, the commission has so far received 382 objections ondelimitation of the constituencies.

These included 191 objections from Punjab and Islamabad, 112 from Sindh, 30from Balochistan and 49 from FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ECP has established a facilitation centre at ECP Secretariat forsubmission of objections and facilitating the people regarding the initialdelimitation of national and provincial assemblies.

Meanwhile, ECP has continued receiving objections on delimitation fromacross the country.

The commission has also launched the details of objections on proposeddelimitation of the constituencies along with proposed maps by thepetitioners on its website for public convenience and transparency.
