SRINAGAR- Three Indian army jawans were killed while three army personnelalso sustained injures in the occupied Kashmir today.
While one militant was killed and another surrendered before forces inAnantnag district, seven militants were killed in a gunbattle in Shopiandistrict. A third encounter in Kachdoora area of Shopian is going on.
The militant who was killed at Dialgam, seven kilometres from Anantnagtown, has been identified as Rouf Bashir Shiekh. He had joined militancylast month itself. His accomplice Amir, though, managed to escape andefforts are on to nab him.
Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police (DGP) S P Vaid confirmed thekilling of eight militants. “One militant killed in Dialgam Anantnag afterefforts of his family/ J&K Police failed to surrender, one caught alive. InDraggad Shopian 7 (seven) bodies of militants recovered, he said in a tweet.
