ISLAMABAD – *Bangladesh ODI Skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza makes importantstatement over travelling to Pakistan.*
Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza said on Saturday he is readyto travel to Pakistan for the solitary ODI, if selected. Mashrafee saidthat he will be there if he is needed by Bangladesh cricket adding that heis available for the tour of Pakistan.
However, Mashrafee place is not granted in the team unlike before as theBCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon recently announced that the three-matchODI’s against Zimbabwe will end the reign of Mashrafee as they are lookingforward to appoint a long term captain, eying 2023 World Cup.
According to Nazmul if Mashrafe wants to continue cricket, he should provehis performance and match fitness to make him available needs as he isready to do anything for the sake of the country’s cricket.
Mashrafee, the most successful captain of the country who is currentlyplaying in just ODI format, ended all speculation when question was on hisavailability during Bangladesh next tour of Pakistan, comprised with oneODI and one Test match in April.
“Firstly I don’t know what will happen after this series but if Bangladeshcricket’s needs me I am ready to go anywhere,’’ Mashrafee told reporters atSylhet International Stadium on Saturday while replying to a query whetherhe would tour Pakistan, Cric Frenzy has reported.
