ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has taken intoconfidence his counterparts from top 20 countries across the globe, ontensions with India.

“We support any kind of mediatory efforts to defuse tension with India butour diplomacy is deliberate and carefully measured,” Pakistan ForeignOffice has revealed.

Spokesman added Pakistan wishes to de-escalate the situation and is readyto engage in dialogue.

“Pakistan is not looking towards any country for its defense, but we havevery good detailed interaction with our friends in international communityespecially with Islamic world to whom we have decade old ties” he said.

Earlier Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in a phoneconversation with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi had urgedIslamabad and New Delhi to show self-restraint following the escalation oftension between the two states.

The Iranian foreign minister said that Iran is ready to help achieving apeaceful resolution of dispute between Islamabad and New Delhi. He calledfor dialogue between the two neighboring states.
