ISLAMABAD – King Abdullah of Jordan on Friday telephoned Prime MinisterImran Khan.
King Abdullah has offered to mediate to ease tensions between the nucleararch rivals.
During the telephonic conversation, King Abdullah while expressing concernon the tense security situation, expressed solidarity with Pakistan.
The Jordan’s King also appreciated Pakistan’s peace efforts and goodwillgesture to release the Indian pilot.
PM Imran Khan thanked King Abdullah for his offer of mediation and alsoinvited him to visit Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that the government’sbasic agenda is to alleviate poverty and restoration of peace, while on theother hand, Indian war hysteria is threatening regional peace.
