ISLAMABAD – Taking a strong exception to the so-called ‘surgical’ strike atPakistan Forest Reserves at Balakot, Pakistan is planning to lodge acomplaint against India at the United Nations for ‘eco-terrorism’.
Climate Change Minister Malik Amin Aslam said Indian aircraft bombed aforest reserve and the government was undertaking an environmental impactassessment (EIA) on the basis of which a complaint would be lodged with theUnited Nations and other forums.
“What happened over there is environmental terrorism. Dozens of pine treeshad been felled. There has been serious environmental damage,” Aslam toldReuters.
In a tweet, the minister highlighted that Pakistan values its nature.
