Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat CardProgram will bring revolution in the country’s health sector.
Addressing the launching ceremony of Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Programfor Bahawalpur Division held at Islamia University, Bahawalpur on Tuesday,he said that four hundred billion rupees are being spent on Naya PakistanQaumi Sehat Card Program in Punjab.
He said that the Universal Health Coverage Program being provided to everycitizen in the country is a unique program as it is not even available tocitizens of developed countries as well.
He said that the private sector will set up hospitals in small cities andvillages under the Health Card project.
The Prime Minister said that the PTI Government will fulfill its promisemade with the people of South Punjab and remove sense of deprivationprevailed among them.
He said that he will visit Bahawalpur again to inaugurate the South PunjabSecretariat there.
Earlier, in his address, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar saidthat after launching of this program in the three districts of Bahawalpur,Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar, ten point five million people ofBahawalpur Division will take benefit from the program and overall sixtythree percent of total population of Punjab will be able to get benefit forthe program.
In his welcome address, Federal Minister for Industries and Production,Khusro Bukhtiar said that Bahawalpur Division has become the first Divisionof South Punjab where the National Health Card project is being launched.
Radio Pakistan Correspondent Sajjad Parvez reports that Prime MinisterImran Khan along with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar alsodistributed Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card among peoples belongs toCholistan Desert, three districts of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan andBahawalnagar on the occasion.
