Pakistan’s defensive reply to Indian Cold Start doctrine against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – India has developed its defense system with an offensiveapproach, and it has been modernizing its army vigorously. Previously,India was purchasing defense equipment from Russia but now it is gettingmore sophisticated military equipment from the United States, Europe andeven Israel.

“Nasr” is Pakistan’s defensive reply to the Cold Start strategy of India.Secondly, Pakistan is also developing its ballistic missile system, especially short ranged missiles in response to the conventional threatfrom India.

India is spending 10 to 16 times more than that of Pakistan on arms.Besides, India is building roads in the border areas with a claim topromote tourism, but they are basically conducting military exercises whichcan be converted into implementation of Cold Start doctrine.

Pakistan’s military strategy is defensive; therefore, we do not spend hugeamount on the military equipment as compared to India. While India spendsbillions, we invest millions in response.

We have prepared everything indigenously, which is a big achievement.“Nasr” is unique as it can adjust its direction to hit its targetsuccessfully. It can also carry small nuclear warhead.

Basically, Indians were thinking to intrude into Pakistani territory by 10to 15 kilometers, but Pakistan’s defense system has prevented it to makeany such misadventure.

Unlike India, we do not have offensive objectives. Pakistan is a peaceloving country. Such experiments are aimed at maintain balance of power inthe region. Indians were talking about operationalizing Cold Start doctrine.

So, it is our reply to their offensive designs. We will keep preparingourselves. This experiment will also guarantee peace between India andPakistan.

Today’s experiment has conveyed a clear message to India. Our efforts areto just to keep nuclear and conventional balance in the region.
