PSL 2018 schedule, dates and venues announced

LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board has released the complete schedule for theupcoming Pakistan Super League 2018 to be held in UAE and Pakistansimultaneously.

The PSL schedule for the 2018 edition has been released and will kick-startfrom February 22 in Dubai. All PSL 3 matches will be played at 4 venues –Dubai, Sharjah, Lahore, and Karachi as announced by the Pakistan CricketBoard (PCB).

Peshawar Zalmi will take on Multan Sultans in the season opener which willbe followed by a double-header on Friday, February 23 in the same city.Karachi Kings will take on Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans will playLahore Qalandars that evening.

Islamabad United will kick-start their campaign on Saturday with a gameagainst Peshawar Zalmi and on the same day the Gladiators will also facethe Qalandars.

This will be the first ever edition of the PSL when six teams will featureinstead of five and each side will play each other twice. This will accountfor a total of 30 matches during the league stage of the competition thatwill last till Friday, March 16.

This will be followed by the playoffs that will be held from March 18onward. The top two sides in the group stages of the competition will clashfirst up, with the winner qualifying for the final. This will be followedby an Eliminator on Tuesday, March 20, with the losing team bowing out andthe winning side taking on the losing team from the first Qualifier.

This third match, also an Eliminator, will be played on Wednesday, March21, while the final will be held four days later on March 25.

These two Eliminators will be played in Lahore while the final will be heldin Karachi. These are the only three matches that will be played inPakistan according to this Pakistan Super League schedule.

There was a good demand for PSL tickets through the league stages of thetournament before it touched crescendo when the final came to Lahore. Thecomplete PSL fixtures with time are placed below for the 2018 edition.
