ISLAMABAD – Ten cricket teams have directly qualified for the T-20 WorldCup to be held in Australia in 2020.
The announcement was made by the ICC on the basis of latest ranking ofcricket teams in the T-20 format.
According to the qualification criteria set for the tournament, eighttop-ranked teams have made straight entry to the Super-12 stage, while theremaining two teams will play in the group stage along with six other teamswhich will make entry through the ICC T20 World Cup qualifier 2019.
Pakistan, India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indiesand Afghanistan will start their campaign directly in the Super 12s, whileformer champions Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will have to contend in the groupstage which will be held from October 18th to 15th November 2020.
