ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif called on Prime Minister ShahidKhaqan Abbasi in the backdrop of the US President Donald Trump’s recentstatement.
They minutely discussed the latest statement of Donald Trump in which hesaid that the US would no more give any aid to Pakistan.
They also discussed foreign policy of Pakistan besides a response to thestatement of Donald TrumpMeanwhile, Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan would tell the entire world thedifference between facts and “fiction”
In his tweet, the Foreign Minister wrote, “We will respond to PresidentTrump’s tweet shortly inshallah…Will let the world know thetruth..difference between facts & fiction”.
Let it be known that Pakistan Army’s spokesperson Major General AsifGhafoor on Thursday said that Pakistan had done enough and could not domore for anyone.
He added that Pakistan would not accept any further US demands – somethingthat can potentially unravel ties between Islamabad and Washington.
It merits mentioning that the US President in his recent statement todaysaid that his country has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billiondollars in aid over the last 15 years, adding “they have given us nothingbut lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools.”
Trump reaffirmed his allegation that Pakistan provides give safe haven tothe terrorists and doesn’t cooperate in the anti-terrorism operationagainst the banned outfits in Afghanistan.“They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with littlehelp. No more!” he tweeted.
