Yasin Malik shifted to Srinagar central jail

ISLAMABAD: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and seven other party leaders and activists were shifted to Central Jail, Occupied Srinagar, on a judicial remand.
A party spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities were trying to suppress the voices being raised against the gruesome criminal acts in Indain Occupied Kashmir, KMS reported.
Others who were shifted to Srinagar jail included Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Azeem Zargar, Basharat Ahmad Butt, Nazir Ahmad, Merajuddin and Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah.
“Arresting, beating, incarcerating and torturing everyone who, in a peaceful manner wants to register protest against oppressors and criminals, has become an order of the day and Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a police state,” the spokesperson said. He said Kashmiri women are brave enough to resist these ugly attacks.
“Our mothers and sisters stand as symbols of resistance and cowardly attacks like braid chopping can never succeed in breaking their will and valour,” he maintained.
