Worst clashes between Israeli Police and Palestinians for years

Six people have been killed in the latest spate of violence in Al-Quds and West Bank.

Israeli forces martyred three Palestinians and injured hundreds as they were protesting against the new controversial security measures outside the Al Aqsa mosque.

Later, three Israeli were stabbed to death in a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has suspended all official contacts with Israel until it removes the metal detectors at Al Aqsa mosque.

The United Nations and the United States have also urged Israel and Palestinian leaders to avoid actions that escalate tensions.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has deeply deplored the death of three Palestinians in clashes with Israeli security forces and called for full investigation of the incident.
