World Bank appreciates BISP efforts for helping poor

World Bank has appreciated the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in running a successful cash transfer scheme through a scientific method.
World Bank Representative Nangar Soomro said this while talking to BISP divisional director Sukkur Zuilfqar Abro on Friday.
He lauded the Programme for specially targeting the poor and deserving segments of the society.
The Director on the occasion gave briefing about the functions and operations of the BISP at the Union Council level.
