Women Protection Bill becomes a Law as Governor sings the summary

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Rafeeq Rajwana has signed on Women Protection Bill after that the Bill has becomes a Law. The Bill had been approved by Punjab Assembly with majority on February 24.
As per details, Women Protection Law will be implemented step-wise in each district of the Punjab while the Law will be implemented in Multan in the first phase.
The gazette notification of bill has been issued after the signature of Punjab Governor. Punjab government will announce the date of bill implementation in each district of Punjab.
The Women Protection Bill will ensure 3 kind of protection to the women. According to new Law, women could be able to take protection order by court against those who harass and make physical violence on them.
According to residence order, women cannot be evicted from homes without their consent and if women were compelled to leave the home then court will bound the family to arrange alternative residence for them.
Monitory order states that the court may also order relief for the concerned female as compensation for the damage suffered by her.
