Woman died at BBH suffering from pneumonia not dengue'

RAWALPINDI: A woman patient, who died here at Benazir Bhutto Hospital, was suffering from pneumonia and not from dengue fever, Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Dr Fayyaz Ahmed said.

 

According to BBH's Medical Superintendent Dr Arshad Sabir, deceased Ghazala, resident of Dhoke Kashmirian, was brought to the hospital in a critical condition.

 

Senior Registrar Medicine Dr Safdar also said that Ghazala was not suffering from dengue virus. She was admitted to Intensive Care Unit on September 25 because of her complicated condition, he added.

 

It may be mentioned that media earlier in the day reported that the woman was suffering from dengue fever.
