Will Pir Sahib Pagara join PPP?

HYDERABAD (APP)- Sindh Minister for Works and Services, Imdad Ali Pitafi, Tuesday claimed that the leadership of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) would soon request Pir Sahib Pagara to join PPP as it was the only party which enjoyed the overwhelming support of the people of Sindh.
He made such claim while talking to media persons after laying foundation stone of the office of Works and Services, at Shahbaz Hall here.
The provincial minister said that after a clean sweep in the local government elections in Sindh, the leading politicians of different political parties of the province had started joining the PPP and soon these parties would announce merging in PPP.
The PPP fully believed in serving the masses without any discrimination and this due to this, leaders and workers of other political parties while acknowledged the services of PPP leadership and were announcing to join the party, he added.
Pitafi said that the present provincial government was committed to providing better communication facilities to the people by laying a network of roads in every nook and corner of the province.
In this regard, he informed that the government had allocated a huge amount in the annual budget.
The government had allocated Rs 72.577 billion for construction of 290 roads in Hyderabad Region during the year 2016-2017, he informed and added that the government had already completed 57 road projects having length of 346.40 kilometers with Rs 4196.818 million in Hyderabad Region during the year 2015-2016.
The minister made it clear that no compromise would be made on the quality of work and strict directives had been issued to all engineers of the department to complete all development schemes right on time with standardized work.
He also directed the engineers to complete the schemes of Hyderabad city within stipulated time.
He said that he would soon hold inspection of the roads and streets of Hyderabad and take strict action against those who failed to complete schemes with quality work.
Sindh Secretary of Works and Services Aijaz Memon, Chief Engineer Provincial Highways Prem Talreja and Superintending Engineer Buildings Akhtar Dawach also briefed the minister about the progress of ongoing development schemes.
