Weather Forecast across Pakistan: 3 July

ISLAMABAD (APP): Widespread rain/dust-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls, accompanied by windstorm, are expected in Punjab, Khaber Pakhtukhwa (KP), Kashmir, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan during next 24 hours.

Rainfall is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar,Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur,Poonch Divisions, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, North and South Agencies, while at scattered places in Multan, Sahiwal,D.G. Khan, Bahawalpur divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Heat low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending northeastwards. Strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in upper parts of the country today. A fresh westerly wave is expected to approach upper parts of the country, an official of Met office told APP.

In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places in Gujranwala, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Hazara Divisions and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Kotli 21mm,Muzaffarabad 16mm, Rawalakot 13mm, Sialkot 21mm, Gujrat 12mm,Parachinar 03mm and Dir 01mm.

Maximum temperatures recorded on Saturday was Bhakkar 47øC,Noorpurthal, Dalbandin 46øC, Turbat, Chillas, Sibbi, D.I.Khan,D.G.Khan, Rohri & Kohat 45øC. Islamabad 41øC, Lahore 39øC, Karachi37øC, Peshawar 43øC, Quetta 40øC, Gilgit 40øC, Chitral 39øC, Hunza35øC, Muzaffarabad 39øC, Murree 28øC, Skardu 35øC, Faisalabad 41øC,Multan 42øC, Hyderabad 38øC, Dir 37øC and Kalat 35øC.
