NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 82/51 with nine boundaries and two sixes against Australia takes India to Semis.
The match was played at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium Mohali in which Australian team set a target of 161/6 but Indian cricket team achieved the target in just 19.1 overs with 6 wickets in hand.
Indian skipper MS Dhoni scored 18 off 10 balls, Yuvraj Singh 21, Dhawan 13, Rohit 12 and Raina contributed 10 runs in the win.
Australian bowler Shane Watson got 2 wickets, Faulkner 1 and Khawaja also got one wicket.
Earlier, Australian team won the toss and set a target of 161/6 by batting first with the contribution of Khawaja 26 off 16 balls, Warner 6, Smith 2, and Finch could score 43 off 34 balls with one boundary only.
Maxwell scored 31 and Faulkner 10 while Neveill (10) and Watson (18) remained not out.
Indian bowler Pandya got 2 wickets, Bumrah 1, Ashish Nehra 1, Ashwin Paetl 1 and Yuvraj Singh also got 1 wicket.
