US to shoot down Intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time

United States will conduct a test next week to shoot down an intercontinental-range missile for the first time.
An interceptor will be launched from an underground silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and soar toward the target, which will be fired from an island in the Pacific.
