US delegation calls on COAS, hails Pakistan sacrifices on terrorism

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Thursday that Pakistan overcame all hurdles to ensure regional security. 

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations statement, he remarked that Pakistan will continue working for peace as per nation’s resolve.

The COAS made the remarks after a meeting with a delegation from the United States, which was led by Deputy Assistant to the President Lisa Curtis. The meeting was also attended by US diplomats David Hale and Alice G Wells.

During the meeting, the participants were briefed regarding US policy on South Asia.

Issues pertaining to regional security and Pakistan-Afghanistan relations were also discussed.

US delegation was also briefed regarding the security steps taken by Pakistan.

The delegation hailed the sacrifices of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
