UNSC set to discuss human trafficking in Libya

The United Nations Security Council meets on Tuesday (November 28) to discuss human trafficking in Libya.

France has called for the emergency meeting after CNN aired shocking video footage showing African migrants being sold as slaves.

French Foreign Affairs Ministry said this meeting will consider new measures to fight the smuggling and trafficking of migrants in Libya.

Meanwhile, this issue will also be discussed during the summit between the European Union and the African Union starting from tomorrow in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
