Terrorism, Target Killing reduced by 97% in Karachi: NACTA

National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) says terrorist attacks have decreased by thirty-one percent due to effective counter terrorism measures of the government.

According to official figures of NACTA, surge in terrorism have decreased over the years as seven hundred eighty-five incidents occurred in 2016 and four hundred twenty-six incidents so far this year.     

Because of success in Karachi operation, target killings came down by ninety-seven percent, terrorism incidents were reduced by ninety-eight percent and robberies were down by fifty-two percent. Over thirty-three thousand weapons were also recovered.
