Technical and Vocational institutes along CPEC route: Sites selected

ISLAMABAD (APP): The government is planning to establish technical and vocational institutes along China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in collaboration with China.

According to official documents, the institutes would be set up at Gilgit,Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Quetta and Gwadar.
The CPEC would open new vistas of development and prosperity and offer enormous employment opportunities for the people of Pakistan.
The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, being an advisory body to the federal government, had taken vital initiatives to introduce reforms in the current technical and vocational system of the country, the documents said.
The skilled youth was the most powerful tool for poverty alleviation and could play an important role in the socio-economic development of the country, they added.
