Surgical Strike was planned drama by Indian intelligence agencies: Defence Minister

SIALKOT (APP): Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Sunday the ground realities had exposed Indian false claims globally about conducting surgical strike in Pakistan.

Talking to the media persons here at PML-N House Paris Road, he said that surgical strike "drama" was planned, staged and played by Indian intelligence agencies in a bid to divert the world's attention from the burning Kashmir Issue.

He said that the facts and ground realities had revealed the Indian lies about surgical strike.

He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not go waste and they would get freedom from Indian yoke.

He said that Pakistan had again strongly rejected the Indian surgical strike claims.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the defence of Pakistan was in very strong hands, as the present government had made the country's defence impregnable.

He said the whole nation stood united and was ready to sacrifice their lives to defend the motherland while battling shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan.

He said the government and Pak Army were successfully foiling all internal and external conspiracies against the grand CPEC project, adding that India was still not ready to accept the universal truth of the project.

The defence minister said the CPEC project was a destiny of economical stability of Pakistan and India and other anti-Pakistan lobbies were not ready to accept the project.

Replying to a question, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that India should not be under any illusion that it could invade Pakistani territory, adding that armed forces of Pakistan were ready to protect every inch of the country.

Earlier, the Minister held an open kutchery.

He listened to the public problems sympathetically and ordered on the spot relief for the several applicants, while taking serious notice on some applications there.

Local MPAs Mansha Ullah Butt, Ch. Muhammad Ikram, PML-N leaders Babar Khan, Muhammad Rafique Mughal, Toheed Akhtar and President PML-N (Women Wing) Sialkot Nusrat Jamshaid Malik were also present on the occasion.
