Supreme Court takes suo moto action against FIA officials

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan Thursday took suo motu notice of an incident involving Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) personnel who tortured women at Islamabad airport.
The apex court summoned the record of departmental inquiry into the torture incident.
The court also demanded the report on the progress regardign investigations currently being carried out at Airport police station.
Deputy Attorney General told the court the inquiry found three FIA personnel responsible for the incident.
The court was told one of personnel, Shaheen, has been dismissed from the duty.
