Supreme Court forms 4 benches for next week

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has constituted four benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday (Feb 6).

The first bench comprising Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Faisal Arab while the second bench consists of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

The third bench would be consisted Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel and the fourth bench would consist of Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan.

During the week the benches would hear important cases including Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) thr. its M.D., Islamabad v. Mosdorfer GMBH, Lahore & others, JDW Sugar Mills Limited and another v. Ittefaq Sugar Mills Limited and others, appeals against death sentences, suo moto notice case regarding tragic incident of Civil Hospital Quetta, Application by Waseem Afzal Warraich, Director WWF, Islamabad & another regarding violation of the judgment of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.89/2011 by Workers Welfare Fund and compliance report of Secretary, Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan in respect of Order dated 23.11.2015 passed in Crl.P. 449/2015.

According to cause lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court. Furthermore, if the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
