Supreme Court disposes of petitions on Panama Papers

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Supreme Court on Wednesday disposed of two petitions regarding the Panama Papers.

Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the petitions in his chambers and disposed of the same for being infructuous.

Through the petitions, Wattan Party Chief Barrister Zafarullah pleaded the court to declare the petitions seeking probe into the Panama Papers filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and others as non-maintainable, and allow him to become party in the case.

The Chief Justice observed that the petitions had become infructuous as the top court had already heard the case and reserved its verdict.
