Six Pakistani universities make to the World's top 800 in British QS Ranking 

ISLAMABAD: Six Pakistani universities have been ranked among the top 800 world universities by British ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

 

As per details, Pakistani universities include Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad QAU, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), University of Karachi (KU), University of Lahore and University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore in the list of QS.

 

NUST is on the top among Pakistani Universities with 501-550 in British QS ranking while QAU secured second position with 651-700.

 

LUMS, UET, KU and University of Lahore secured 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th position respectively in British QS ranking with 701plus.

 

British QS has ranked National University of Sciences and Technology separately in Engineering and Technology category at 340.

Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan was established which served as a beacon of higher education in Pakistan under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Dr. Atta Ur Rehman.





He can truly be termed as the father of he higher education modern system of Pakistan. A country which had only few hundred active PhD Scholars is now producing hundreds of World class Phd Researches annually both within Pakistan and in Foreign Universities. Pakistan has gone a way forward in the field of higher education if we compare it with the past practice however if we compare it with other regional and international powers it has miles and miles to move forward in terms of improving its research orientated education.
