Sindh Rangers stay extended in Karachi for 90 days

KARACHI: Government of Sindh has accepted the Rangers demand for extension in the powers of the Para Military Force in Karachi for another 90 days.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday approved an extension in the special powers of the Pakistan Rangers for 90 days in Karachi.

The summary has now been forwarded to the Interior Ministry for approval.

Earlier on Monday, the home department sent a summary to the Sindh chief minister regarding the extension of Rangers’ special powers for 90 days. Policing powers were granted to the law enforcers on October 17, 2016.
