Sindh Police issues serious threat alert for Karachi

KARACHI – The Sindh Police has released a threat alert about a suicide attack in Karachi here on Monday.

It said that a suicide bomber has been entered in Karachi and planning to attack Karachi airport.

Meanwhile, a high-level meeting chaired by Director General (DG) Rangers Maj Gen Mohammad Saeed reviewed the security situation in the aftermath of recent targetted attacks on police personnel in Karachi, a press release from Sindh Rangers stated on Tuesday.

The meeting, held at Rangers Headquarters, was attended by Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khawaja, Assistant Inspector General Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo and officials from intelligence agencies, among others.

The meeting devised a strategy for combined operations and to improve communication between law enforcing agencies.
