Robot security guard commits suicide in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON: A robot security guard met a tragic end when it drowned itself at a fountain of a shopping mall in Washington D.C.
The Knightscope security robot was patrolling the Georgetown Waterfront shopping complex in Washington D.C. on Monday when it apparently drove itself into the pond.
“Our D.C. office building got a security robot. It drowned itself,” one Twitter user wrote.
“We were promised flying cars, instead we got suicidal robots.”
The company markets the security robot as better than real guards in part because it never gets bored of what it does. But it appears to have looked to put an end to that work and has driven into a pond.
