Relatives of Model Town tragedy victims stage demo outside civil secretariat

LAHORE: Relatives of the victims of the Model Town tragedy staged a demonstration outside the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
However, they were given the copy of the inquiry report made public by the Punjab government on Tuesday.
The chief secretary reached the CM House before the arrival of the relatives and the lawyers at Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, Khurram Gandapur said that the content of the report endorses their stance.
He said that they would devise the strategy within two days after reviewing the report.
Gandapur said that there were several contradictions in the report.
He held Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah responsible for the tragedy. “We will be satisfied only with the arrest of Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah,” he added.
